The CAP1400 is The State Power Investment Corporation's (SPIC) evolutionary 3rd-Gen design based on the foundation of Westinghouse's AP1000 technology. The first Demonstration Unit will be constructed at the Shidaowan site in eastern China. FCD is projected for late 2017 or early 2018.
